DMZ er ókeypis samfélagsverkefni frá Kastro, við hlið Dmark og Kastro Lookup. Shield er forútgáfa sem reynir að maska valin auðkenni og leyndarmál á tækinu í studdum textasendingum í ChatGPT og Claude og endurheimta óbreytt merki í svörum.

Enginn DMZ-reikningur, áskrift eða sætalágmark. Aðstoð Kastro er valfrjáls og aðskilin; eigin skilmálar og kostnaður AI-vefs gilda áfram. Portal og Gateway eru frestað. AI-síðan getur séð upprunalegan texta fyrir möskun, bilanir vara við en sending heldur áfram og viðhengi eru send óbreytt. Greining getur misst af upplýsingum og óháð staðfesting er ólokin. Prófið aðeins með tilbúnum gögnum.

Á dmz.is eru upplýsingar um aðgengi, uppsetningu, mælingar og valfrjálsar athugasemdir. Ókeypis aðgangur þýðir ekki enn opinn hugbúnaður eða heimild til endurdreifingar líkana eða gagnasafna.

DMZ is a free community project by Kastro, alongside Dmark and Kastro Lookup. Its first tool is Shield: a device-local extension preview that attempts to mask selected identifiers and secrets in supported ChatGPT and Claude text submissions, and restores unchanged reply markers locally.

There is no DMZ account requirement, subscription, seat minimum or paid protection tier. Optional Kastro implementation or training help is separate. The AI service's own terms and costs still apply. Portal and Gateway are deferred without a delivery commitment.

Shield is best effort, not a security enforcement boundary. The AI page can read the original draft before masking; processing failures warn and continue, and attachments are sent unchanged. Detection can miss identifiers and context can still identify people. The preview is for fabricated-data testing and independent validation remains incomplete.

Visit dmz.is for availability, installation guidance, reviewed summary measurements and voluntary community feedback. Free access does not yet mean open source; private code, models and research are not published by this listing.
